Well this Halloween I had to work, but fortunatly it was only during the day. I dressed up for work and all and my boss later told me I could take some stuff home to my husband. Hey! A couple of free sandwiches was all worth it (even sleeping in the sponge curlers)! Tyler came home after work and felt left out so we quickly dressed him up as an army guy. After quickly getting him suited up, we ran to Broulims to get the last minute candy for our non-existant trick-or-treater's. We arrived and found that all candy was buy one get one free.....We're still eating all the candy corn (okay, so we only got two small bags). Well, come evening, Tyler and I had our first trick-or-treater! She was probably only 6 months old and had no idea what was going on but it was fun anyway as scott carved a HUGE pumpkin on our table. We then went to a dance for Scotts ward. It was cool cause it was in a barn and it was fun to see Scott break dance, but it was kind of diffirent since Tyler and I are married, plus we knew no one. So we left.
On a more scary note...before we went to the dance, me and tyler realized that we had just locked ourselves out of our apartment with no key :( Well we decided to try the apartment manager's office and I, being a whimp, wanted to stay out in the warm car. Well, we wern't even sure if someone lived there because we knew that the previous apartment managers had took off to Texas or something. We had no idea whether they had got replacements or not. Well suprisingly, someone answered and they invited Tyler in....and I waited. Mind you, it was at the back of a creepy alley and behind all of these resturaunts. We live in old town Rexburg where everything was built in the 1900's so we're talking WAY old. Well, I wait....and I Wait....and I wait. There is no sign of tyler and he must have been gone for 10 minutes ( I hadn't really been keeping time). I looked at the clock and it said 9:35. Ten it said 9:40. Then it said 9:55. Okay I KNOW that it doesn;t even take ME that long to walk up those stairs, even with groceries. I also knew that with all the scary movies I had watched, that he was definately in their creepy sterile basement, straped to a table, waiting to be disected alive. We had no idea who these people where! We didn't even know someone lived there! Well, I had had enough and walked out and knocked on their door. No answer ( I Strained to see if i could hear anyone, but of course, if they were in the basement, i wouldn't be able to hear them!) Finally tyler came out! Finally! He explained as I was angry from being left alone in the dark alley for that long, that they key didn't work. So they had to go downstairs to the apartment beneith us, open their window and Tyler climbed up a ladder to our appartment, cut the screen with a knife and grab the key (Oh, he was dressed as an Army guy too, remember?) Well, now we know that no one cal break into our house very well!
