Well, Tyler and I teach primary and every week is a blast! I love how the doctrine is taught to plainly which magnifies it's truth. What I love even more is the darnedest things that the kids say! I have to try really hard to not bust up laughing in primary.
For example:
Talon, one of my little kids, is a ball of energy but is hilarious. He says the most random things like when he was little, he's dad would but him in a doughnut box. He also lets really nasty smelling farts. I usually let Tyler deal with him and his pooters.
Today, we were learning about baptisms for the dead. So the teacher had some adults come to the front and tell stories about their ancestors. Well, this one lady got up to tell her tale and she did take a long time. Even I spaced out. After she was done, Talon, says really loud, "THAT WAS REALLY LONG." Tell me about it, Talon (which is a dumb name, but I still like him).
Our other kid is really really smart. His name is Caleb and usually feeds off of Talon. Caleb Is really intelligent because we were playing this one game of "I'm thinking of" and Bro. Belnap says "I'm thinking of a time when Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights".
Caleb pipes in with some catchy tune saying " He went to the mountain to pray!"
I don't know if this is just common knowledge for a 6 year old, I thought it was really impressive.
Emily is one of the two girls in the class and is an angel. She's perfect but not boastful. She is just overall sweet and a bit of a brown noser, Bro. Belnap and I like her anyways. One characteristic trait of hers is taking about 5 min to answer one question. Tyler and I just sit there and nod our heads, encouraging her to say ANYTHING!
The other girl's name is Mercedes. She reminds me of myself when I was younger. She crys a lot. Not the whiny cry where the voice gets all high and she lays of the floor. The genuine cry that I know so well. She is just really sensitive and I feel like I actually get her because I was like that as a child. Heck, I'm STILL like that. Poor Mercedes.
And last, there's Tyler, he is a handful because he is younger than everyone else. His mind is firm and set on going home every time we go to class. Here is how the conversation usually goes...
"I'm going home" (says is a very matter-of-fact way)
"No, actually class isn't over yet."
"Nope, I'm leaving" (as he walks over to the door)
He never really leaves but just threatens to.
back to my original point. I truly believe that you can teach the best my example so I ALWAYS participate in primary. When she tells me to stand up, I do it. When she tells me to draw a picture, I draw.I sing, do hand motions. I even act surprised like I'm genuinely interested.

Well A couple of weeks ago, all the children were supposed to draw pictures of their father. So begin to draw, I did. It was a basic stick figure with a bow tie and shoes.
The nest week, one of the teacher's walked up to the front and held up some various drawings and asked eagerly "We have some pictures that don't have names on them. Whose is THIS picture?"
She held up my stick figure with a bow tie and shoes.
I sheepeshly raised my hand " Thats mine..."
Primary is never boring.
